Getting Started Guide

Step-by-step instructions to set up and manage your online store

Get Your Store Access

Your store administrator will provide you with login credentials:

  1. Receive your unique login link or store URL from your administrator
  2. Visit your store's admin login page
  3. Enter the email and password provided to you
  4. You'll be logged in to your store's admin dashboard

Note: If you haven't received login credentials, contact your store administrator or platform support.

Configure Store Features

Enable the features you need for your business:

  1. From your dashboard, click "Settings" in the navigation menu
  2. Choose which features to enable:
    • Fixed Price Sales: Standard retail store products (most common)
    • Timed Auctions: Optional - Products with bidding deadlines
    • Live Auctions: Optional - Real-time bidding events with TV display
    • Bidder Registration: Proxy bidding and buyer numbers for auctions
    • Online Checkout: Enable payment processing via Stripe
    • Quick Sale Mode: Fast in-person checkout with Tap to Pay
    • Apparel Mode: Clothing with sizes, colors, and custom size categories
    • Automotive Mode: Parts with fitment and vehicle data
    • Bicycle Shop Mode: Bikes with detailed specs and sizing
    • Dealership Mode: Vehicle sales with VIN lookup and specs
    • Artist Mode: Gallery features with exhibitions and commissions
    • Service Business Mode: Work order tracking (BenchBoard)
    • Airbrush/Personalization: Custom order management
    • Vintage & Antiques: Auto-apply furniture categories
    • Brochure Mode: Display-only catalog without checkout
    • Content Mode: Blog/article publishing
    • Social Sharing: Let customers share products
    • Customer Favorites: Allow saving favorites
    • Product Q&A: Let customers ask questions about items
    • Make Offer: Accept customer offers on fixed-price items
    • Trade Program: Accept trade-ins and offer layaway
    • Hero Image Carousel: Rotating hero images with hotspots
  3. Click "Save Settings" at the bottom of the page

Customize Your Branding

Make your store unique with custom branding:

  1. In Settings, scroll to "Shop Branding"
  2. Upload your logo:
    • Recommended: PNG or SVG, 300x80px
    • Max file size: 2MB
  3. Choose logo placement (top-left or top-center)
  4. Select logo size (small, medium, or large)
  5. Customize colors:
    • Background Color: Main page background
    • Button Colors: Primary action buttons
  6. Upload a hero image for your homepage
  7. Click "Save Settings"

Add Your First Product

Start adding products to your store:

For Standard Products:

  1. Click "Manage Products" from dashboard
  2. Click "Add New Product"
  3. Fill in product details:
    • Title and description
    • Fixed price
    • Upload product images and videos (AI background removal available)
    • Select categories and add tags
    • Set shipping options and costs
    • Optionally enable timed or live auction features
  4. Click "Create Product"

For Apparel/Bicycle Products:

  1. Enable Apparel or Bicycle Mode in Settings first
  2. Click "Manage Products" from dashboard
  3. Click "Add New Product"
  4. Enter product information and prices
  5. Select available sizes (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL)
  6. Add color variants with images
  7. Set inventory quantities for each size/color combination
  8. For bicycles: Add frame size, wheel size, and other specs
  9. Click "Create Product"

For Automotive Parts:

  1. Enable Automotive Mode in Settings first
  2. Click "Manage Products" from dashboard
  3. Click "Add New Product" or use mobile scanner
  4. Enter or scan part number and barcode
  5. Select vehicle fitment (make, model, year range)
  6. Add detailed specifications and compatibility info
  7. Upload product images and videos (AI background removal available)
  8. Set fixed price and shipping options
  9. Click "Create Product"

For Service Business (BenchBoard):

  1. Enable Service Business Mode in Settings first
  2. Add customers with contact information
  3. Click "New Work Order" from dashboard
  4. Select customer and enter item description
  5. Take photos of the item at drop-off
  6. Set workflow status (Quote, Order, Work, Ready, etc.)
  7. Track payments, deposits, and materials
  8. Update status and notify customer when ready for pickup

For Vehicles (Dealership Mode):

  1. Enable Dealership Mode in Settings first
  2. Click "Add Vehicle" from dashboard
  3. Enter VIN, mileage, year, and pricing
  4. Add detailed specifications (engine, transmission, etc.)
  5. Document vehicle history and condition
  6. Upload photos and videos from multiple angles
  7. Set financing terms if applicable
  8. Click "Create Listing"

For Artwork (Artist Mode):

  1. Enable Artist Mode in Settings first
  2. Create exhibitions to organize collections
  3. Click "Add Artwork" from dashboard
  4. Enter title, medium, dimensions, and creation date
  5. Set pricing tiers (original, prints, limited editions)
  6. Document provenance and exhibition history
  7. Upload high-quality images
  8. Track commission requests if applicable

Note: Most stores use fixed-price sales. Auction features (timed/live bidding) are optional and can be enabled per-product if needed for special sales events.

Set Up Payment Processing (Optional)

Enable online payments with Stripe:

  1. Create a Stripe account if you don't have one
  2. Get your API keys from the Stripe Dashboard
  3. In your store Settings, scroll to "Payment Integration"
  4. Enter your Stripe Publishable Key and Secret Key
  5. Click "Save Settings"
  6. Toggle "Show Purchase Widget" to enable checkout

Alternative: If you don't want online payments, disable the purchase widget and customers will see your contact information instead.

Launch Your Store

Make your store accessible to customers:

Option 1: Use Built-in Store URL

  1. Your store is automatically available at: ?shop=your-slug
  2. Share this link with customers via social media, email, or QR codes
  3. Customers can browse and purchase immediately

Option 2: Connect Custom Domain (Recommended)

  1. In Settings, enter your custom domain (e.g., shop.yourdomain.com)
  2. Add a DNS CNAME record pointing to the platform
  3. Click "Verify Domain" to activate
  4. Your store will be accessible at your professional custom domain
  5. Add a custom home screen icon for mobile users

Advanced Features

Content Publishing

Enable Content Mode in settings to publish blog articles. Great for SEO and customer engagement. You can even monetize with Google AdSense.

Customer Favorites

Let visitors save favorite products and receive email notifications. Enable this feature in Settings to boost customer engagement.

Social Sharing & QR Codes

Allow customers to share products on social media with QR codes and rich preview cards. Enable in Settings to increase reach.

Categories & Templates

Create categories and subcategories to organize products. Use category templates for faster product entry. Auto-apply templates by enabling specific sales modes.

AI Background Removal

Remove backgrounds from product photos with one click using AI. Tier-based monthly limits keep your images professional and consistent.

Video Support

Upload product videos (MP4, WebM, MOV) alongside images. Automatic poster/thumbnail generation shows preview before video plays. Perfect for demonstrations.

Hero Hotspots & Carousel

Add clickable hotspots to hero images linking to products or coupons. Enable carousel mode to rotate multiple hero images automatically.

Mobile Uploader & Scanning

Upload products from your mobile device. Scan barcodes and part numbers to auto-fill product details using AI. Ideal for automotive and retail inventory.

Order Management

Track all purchases, send confirmation emails, and manage shipping status. Automated email notifications keep customers informed throughout the process.

Product Q&A

Let customers ask questions directly on product pages. Answer through your dashboard and build trust with transparent, public Q&A visible to all shoppers.

Make Offer System

Accept customer offers on fixed-price items. Smart feedback shows if offers are competitive. Accept, reject, or counter offers from your dashboard.

Trade-In & Layaway

Accept trade-ins on purchases and offer layaway payment plans. Track deposits, payment schedules, and trade values all in one system.

Customer Feedback & Ratings

Collect ratings and reviews from buyers after purchase. Build reputation with public feedback on communication, shipping, and item accuracy.

Provenance & Collections

Document item history and previous ownership. Create curated collections around themes. Perfect for antiques, art, and vintage items.

Inventory Tracking

Real-time quantity tracking with automatic updates when items sell. Set low stock alerts and prevent overselling with accurate inventory management.
